Should I choose individual meetings or a group?
Individual sessions allow:
- a more intensive focus on the ways God is present in your life and how you are responding
- the possibility of exploring how this unfolds over time
- greater confidentiality
- flexibility as to meeting times
- the possibility of short-term work on transitions or particular decisions
- a more comfortable setting for those preferring to do their work one-with-one
- the only option for meeting with a director at a distance
Group sessions allow:
- the shared wisdom and support of others on the faith journey
- the discipline of a regular monthly meeting time
- an opportunity to learn new forms of prayer, and to pray for, and to be held in prayer by, others
- the opportunity to develop skills of attentive listening and awareness
- the opportunity to learn from the experiences and concerns of others
- a more comfortable setting for those preferring to do their work in company with others
